Estimated mid-century. Hand dyed. Vintage Japanese indigo cotton. Deep, dark blue. Geometric with kanji characters. The Kanji is usually a famous Sumo wrestler's name.

The outer layers of the fabric (1.5 meters) have some brown discoloration from age but the inner layers are clear. Lengths will be cut from the clear end first. If you are looking for a more vintage look and want the outer layers, contact us.

Full bolt intended to make a yukata / light casual kimono which would be worn to relax in summer. Often, they are worn at a matsuri / summer street festival, firework show or just to relax walking around an onsen town.
