Japanese traditional paper fan. Estimated early to mid century. Uchiwa fans are fixed rather than folding. This one is made with paper and bamboo with a wooden handle. The design is very interesting as it is made up of layers. The backing is a green, blue and pink floral design under the bamboo frame with a top layer of delicate translucent paper. I like the blue and white checkered trim. No marks or scuffs on the front. A vintage look to the back with some very light marks. Excellent vintage condition overall.
