Traditional Japanese kasuri cotton. Thick and strong. Three scraps.

Artisan made. Woven ikat fabric in black, red and khaki green.

Indigo dye was used to create the very deep black color. The thread must have been immersed a huge number of times. At the ends where it has been cut the tinge of indigo blue can be seen.

Japanese ikat is renowned for it's high quality. Excellent condition. One piece has a hole.

It was once part of a kimono. It was taken apart for reuse.

All three pieces are included in this listing.
