50% off! Was $119, now only $59.
Vintage Japanese haori jacket. Handmade. Tsumugi / pongee silk. Beautiful texture. A layered dye technique. Base dye appears to be a washed out / shibori effect.

Solid blue layer over the top could have been created with a stencil (katazome) or the resist paste could have been hand painted.

Lined.

Excellent condition. Excellent quality. The weight of the fabric hangs so neatly.

Width, across back: 62cm / 24.4"
Cuff to cuff, across the back: 129cm / 50.7"
Length: 80cm / 31.4"

Measurements taken laying flat. For chest circumference double the width measurement.

Slightly larger than some of the other ones I have.

Dress form is a US size 6 to 8.

Generally, these jackets fit a wide range of sizes due to the open, loose design.

Traditionally worn over a kimono, this could easily be incorporated into a Western wardrobe.
