Japanese Kurumi Tsumugi ikat cotton.

Tsumugi (translated as pongee) of Kurumi in Fukuoka region is one of the top three tsumugi in Japan.

Aspects of Japanese culture are considered so important to preserve that they are designated Intangible Cultural Heritage that must be protected. Kurumi Tsumugi is one of these. The labels show that this is a genuine Kurumi Tsumugi product.

Yabane design. Yabane is a traditional pattern which represents the feathers on an arrow. Arrows are significant in Japanese culture due to the traditional practice of archery.

100% cotton.
