This incredible fabric was hand woven in the Nishijin area of Kyoto, Japan. Nishijin-ori (西陣織) is a traditional craft which began over a thousand years ago. So many colored threads are used to make the textiles, it is a long and arduous process.

This piece was intended for a Nagoya Obi but was never made. It has never been used an is in perfect condition.

It could be made into a beautiful table runner with little work, or displayed in some other way in your home decor. The vibrant threads are loose on the reverse side.

Thick, heavy textile. Threads are either cotton or a cotton and silk mix. Natural fibers.
