Vintage Japanese bingata haori jacket. Chirimen / crepe silk.

Bingata originates in Okinawa. The silk is hand painted. The design is a fall village scene. Houses, bridges trees and leaves have been expertly painted in beautiful fall colors.

Ties at the front. This one has a wider opening at the front and may be best worn open.

Excellent condition. Amazing quality.

Width, across back: 60cm / 23.6"
Cuff to cuff, across the back: 124cm / 48.81"
Length: 73cm / 28.74"

Measurements taken laying flat. For chest circumference double the width measurement.

Dress form is a US size women's 6 to 8.

Generally, these jackets fit a wide range of sizes due to the open, loose design.

Traditionally worn over a kimono, this could easily be incorporated into a Western wardrobe.
