Vintage monpe pants. Japanese noragi / peasant wear.

Indigo kasuri / ikat cotton. I love the combination of blue and purple. A really beautiful fabric.

Pocket on front right hip.

Elasticated waist and bottom of each leg.

Leg elastic is in great condition. Waist elastic is a little loose. Not sure if this is deterioration with age or intended to be loose.

Great condition. There is some light discoloration at the seat. I have tried to show it in the photo but it is so light it doesn't show very much.

Machine washable.

I have a number of vintage monpe in store and hopefully the following will help you compare.

Condition:
Brown discoloration: slightly, on the seat.
Elastic: a little loose at the waist.
Repairs: none unless you would like tighter waist elastic and then it could be replaced.

Measurements taken laying flat. Double for circumference.

Length: 96cm / 37.79"

Hips / seat: 57.5cm / 22.63" (Double for circumference).

Elastic waist: 36cm min to 52cm max / 14.17" to 20.47" (Double for circumference).
