Width: 33.5cm / 13.18"
Length: 142cm / 1.55 yards long. The original length pictured measured 284cm / 111.8". Half the length was sold. There is now no split into the edge as can be seen in 3rd photo.

Vintage of early 1900s artisan made fabric.

Hand loomed hemp linen.

The dye is botanical and could have be kuchinashi / gardenia flower, ukon / turmeric or benibana / safflower.

The kamon on this piece is at the end at the edge as can be seen in the 3rd and 4th photo.

Kamon are symbols used to signify family names or organisations. A family or group can chose any kamon to represent their name, so it is not clear what the name of this piece was.
With a beautiful texture and rich colour the fabric is in great condition. Light and slightly sheer when held up to the light.
