Sakiori is a traditional Japanese weaving technique using fabric strips and scraps. It lies in the tradition of mottainai (no waste) and is the product of hours of skilled home weaving. Peasants during the Edo period to early Showa used this technique to make clothing or textiles for the home.

Absolutely ready to be displayed as a table mat, runner or wall hanging.
